Chamber singer Iordanka Derilova has been a member of the Anhalt Theater Dessau since 2003. She graduated from the L. Pipkov Academy of Music and the P. Vladigerov Music Academy in Sofia and continued her education at the B. Christoff Academy in Rome. The soprano made her debut at the Burgas Opera House as Elisabetta in Don Carlos, sang in the Sofia National Opera and in almost all Bulgarian opera houses. In 1998 there was a permanent engagement at the Prague State Opera. She sings on opera stages in Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Holland, Lithuania, Cyprus, Qatar, Turkey, Russia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Germany. In her permanent engagement at the Anhaltisches Theater Dessau, she made her debut as Isolde in Tristan and Isolde, for which she was nominated for the singer of the year award by the magazine Opernwelt. She was awarded the "Premio di Aida" prizes by the Vissi d’Arte competition in Salerno (2005) and the theater award Theo for Best Singer. She was also nominated for the prestigious Czech Thalia Prize for her interpretation of the Tosca. The highlight of 2009 was the award with the title chamber singer. Her central roles in her repertoire include: the title roles Aida, Brünnhilde in Die Walküre, Siegfried and Götterdämmerung, Turandot, Lady Macbeth, Elektra, Tosca, Abigaille Nabucco, Amelia Maskenball, Odabella Atilla, Butterfly, Isolde in Tristan and Isolde and Ortrud in Lohengrin, with whom they work at numerous renowned houses guested, among others at the Salzburg Festival Hall, Royal Opera House Stockholm, Teatro Massimo Bellini Catania, Bregenz Festival Hall, National Theater Mannheim, Theater Dortmund, Hanover, Munich (Gasteig), at the Summer Festival St. Margarethen, Opéra de Massy & Paris Saint Germain, Barcelona in Palau de la Musica and in the Festspielhaus Füssen. In 2016 she won the “Thalie” theater award for best singer of 2015 in the Czech Republic. For the seasons 2016 - 2018 she is engaged for the role Lisa in Pique Dame (Tchaikovsky) at the Chemnitz Theater and in the National Opera Ostrava (Czech Republic) for the role Katerina Ismailowa in Lady Macbeth von Mzensk (Shostakovich). The Theater Enschede in Holland hired her for the 2018/2019 season with the role of Marietta in Die tote Stadt (Korngold). During 2019 she guested in the new production of the opera Turandot at Theater Dortmund and the resumption at Theater Chemnitz in the role of Turandot (Puccini). In the next season (2020) she will sing the role of Brünnhilde at the Theater Chemnitz in the resumption of "Die Walküre" (R. Wagner). In 2020 she is also engaged in the role of Marietta in the opera "Die tote Stadt" (E. W. Korngold) in the National Opera in Ostrava (Czech Republic).

1996 Start of a permanent engagement at Stara Sagora's opera (Mimi in "La Boheme" Puccini, Amelia in "A Masked Ball", Fiordiligi in "Cosi fan tutte").

1997-98 guest contract at the National Opera Sofia as Elisabeth in "Don Carlos" and Amelia in "A Masked Ball" Verdi.

Guest performances at the Rosenheim Opera Days (Mozart Gala) under the direction of August Haltmayer.

1998 beginning of a permanent engagement at the Prague State Opera, sings all leading roles: (Elisabeth "Don Carlos", Tosca, Cio-Cio-San "Madama Butterfly", Liu "Turandot", Aida, Abigaille "Nabucco", Leonora "The Troubadour", Amelia "A Masked Ball").

1999 guest appearances in Italy and Switzerland (Tosca, Elisabeth in "Don Carlos").

2000 Engaged at the Sankt Margarethen Summer Festival (Austria) as Abigaille "Nabucco" in a production by the director Gianfranco de Bosio.

2000-01 Engaged in the National Theater Mannheim for the role of Amelia in "A Masked Ball" Verdi.

2001-02 guest appearances in Munich (Gasteig), Frankfurt am Mein, Linz, and Bregenz (Festspielhaus) with Abigaille "Nabucco".

2001-03 guest contract at the National Opera in Bratislava (Mimi, Aida, Abigaille, Tosca).

2001 guest appearances in Japan (Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo, Kagoschima, Fukuoka) as Aida alongside Jose Cura as Radames.

2002 guest appearances in Doha (Qatar) -Operair premiere with Aida. Guest performances with Abigaille in the Aspendos amphitheater (Turkey). Guest performances with the same role in Poland and the Netherlands, Tosca at the summer festival in Gars am Kamp (Austria).

Guest performances with Tosca at the Rialto Theater in Limassol (Cyprus).

2003 Aida guest appearances in Japan (Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoja).

Debut as Turandot at the summer festival in Sankt Margaretchen (Austria) in a large-scale production by Gianfranco de Bosio under the direction of Marco Bohemi and David Guadagno.

2003 Start of a permanent engagement at the Anhaltisches Theater Dessau (debut: Rusalka, Johanna d’Arc, Amalia “Die Räuber” Verdi).

2003-04 Engaged in the State Opera in Hanover with Abigaille "Nabucco".

Guest performances at the Bielefeld State Theater with Amelia "A Masked Ball" Verdi.

2004 guest appearances at the summer festival Sankt Margarethen (Austria) as Aida.

2005 Engaged for the role of Lady Macbeth in "Macbeth" Verdi at the Braunschweig State Theater.
